As the day gives way to night

The moon is on the rise

The clouds move so slowly
They seem frozen in their flight
Pink glow gives way to shadow
As they settle into night

The mountains all decline
In shadowed glory, shadowed size
Now they’re just a thin black line
Between me and the sky

If you could hear them howling
